# 16 It's Hallow's Eve

It's almost Halloween and I should be out partying and/or drinking and having fun.  Instead I am in a yoga festival, bending and twisting.  But since its Halloween weekend here is another photo.

# 15 Let's Celebrate

It's almost Halloween.  We don't really celebrate Halloween here.  Kids do not don on ghoulish costumes and go begging door-to-door.  No trick or treats or jack-o-lantern on the window sills.  But the retailers do try their best to celebrate the occasion.

# 14 Look down again

On the sixth floor of the mall, I looked down and took this image.  I like the lines it created, dotted with little red seats like specks of polka dots.  Didn't realized the couple sitting on the top row.

# 13 Children

This a piece of art advertising milk at a busy train station.  Many people probably posed to take their photo here.  These children were playing with the sculpture so their mother signaled them to pose for a picture.  And I took a picture too.

#11 Skating

The reason why I went to CW a couple of days ago was to visit the skating rink.  It's been about twenty years since I donned on a pair of skates, so I didn't dare.  But I took this picture because I admired the courage of the little girl who took the hand of a stranger so she slide around on ice.

Photo 10- A normal Sunday around the pool

It a sunny Sunday, something that we haven't seen for awhile now - sunshine and no rain. The children are out and about, and making ruckus.  Just another Sunday.  So I went to the poolside armed with my camera and this what I got.

I don't know her name but ain't she cute.  She and her friends were running around the garden, going from pool to pool.  The moment she saw my camera, she stopped as if she wanted her picture taken.

Photo 9 - Look at me . . .

There is a "Flora and Fauna" in one of the malls downtown.  Since I was at the mall to do my hair, I took the time to take photo of the garden and animals on exhibits.  And also the people who came to enjoy themselves.  Like this lady who is posing for her friend, "look at me, I'm a mermaid."

Photo 8 - Wall Art

Continuation of wall art.  I must admit, Bangkok is not an artistic city.  At least not in the western scene.  In the lankiness, darkness, and murkiness, we do have some glimpse of color and aesthetics.  Here is my take on wall art.

Photo 7 Double Exposure

I wanted to take a night shot of the mall from the distance but I didn't have a tripod.  Even braced next to apole, my hands were not steady enough.  This was the result:

I kinda like it.

Photo 6 - Pla Tu, Mackerel in a Basket

Pla To or Mackenzie is a very popular in Thailand.  Many favorite dishes have this fish as its signature.  There is even song written about it.  And in the market, it's usually sold in a basket.

Uhm, yum!

Photo 4 Mango, mango, mango

Went to the food hawker street this evening for dinner with my gym buddies.  Great street if you are really hunger and not too picky about the food.  There is a nice variety of foods to choose from and the taste is good, but not the best.  This image is of the mango and sticky rice stall that is there all year round.

Photo 3 - I am I blue. . .

"Look at me," this little softy toy said to me.  " oh, oh take my picture"  See that subtle up turn at the corner of the lips.  What do you think?

Photo 2 - Umbrellas

No, it not the popular song from Rhiana but it's raining this morning.  so the umbrellas came out and left outside before the people entered the office, littering the hall way with umbrellas.

Photo 1 - Egypt

For the new years, 2010, I went to Egypt.  I have this ambition - to see all the great wonders of the world.  There were seven wonders to begin with but since they held and announced the new seven wonders, here is my list:
  • The Great Wall of China
  • Angkor Wat, Cambodia
  • Great Pyramids of Giza
  • Petra, Jordan (new 7 wonders)
  • Leaning Tower of Pisa
  • Taj Mahal
  • Stonehenge
  • Macchu Picchu, Peru (new 7 wonders)
  • Chichen Itza, Mexico (new 7 wonders)
  • Colosseum, Rome (new 7 wonders)
  • Christ the Redeemer, Brazil (new 7 wonders)
So far, I have been to 5 of 11 wonders.  Woo Hoo.  I just want to travel more.

Lazy Saturdays

My lazy Saturdays means laundry and nothing else.  I stayed home and did laundry and surfed the net.  The only saving grace is while surfing the net, I advertised on the net.  I will grow my online business.

And I watched Ugly Betty.  Alas, it's her last season and I am enjoying it again.

I am not enjoying lazy Saturdays because of the word 'lazy'.  I was just not in the mood to get out the house.

The photos of the day:

Buildings around the office.  This is what Bangkok has become - city of skyscrapers.

I did it

I am grateful that I went to yoga today.  I haven't go to yoga since Monday, but it a different kind of yoga.  I can feel my stiff limbering up a bit.  I really need to get limber so I more much movement.  Feel much better about yoga now because I am much stronger -strong planks, reverse planks, etc.

I am grateful that I forgot my sneakers which gave me the opportunity to go to yoga.  So I have to call Sprite to find out that we going to get together again on Sunday.  Gave me time to plan next week out (at least in my mind) because next week is vegetarian week.  And then I went shopping.

I clear my paper on my desk. I need to do more but I am all caught up. About the apartment - heck that's another deal all together.

I went to the market yesterday and took some good photos.  I decided that I will be carrying my Nikon camera in conjunction with my handy-dandy Sony.  Yeah, my weight in my junk bag.  Definitely need to divide conquer!!!

These are just a couple of the stuff, but the photo of the day:
